Year-round we take great pride in making The Old Vicarage feel like a home away from home but we do make a bit more effort at Christmas. We feel the house is perfectly set up for big celebrations with an open plan kitchen diner and the large table in front of the log burner all perfectly set up for the big day. With Mother's 80 years of local knowledge, we will do our beat to make your stay special with advice and recommendations!

Don’t tell anyone but, although Elky was bought for Christmas, he has actually remained in place ever since!

Stretch those legs...

Obviously all very weather dependant but this was us up the Cat’s Back (also known as Olchon Valley) a few year’s back. Stunning views across snow-covered hills and fields

Rest those aching limbs…

Honestly, the hot tub is great in the summer but personally I prefer it when it is really cold outside and I am enjoying the cosy 38 degree water bubbling around. When the skies are clear, you can get some stunning views of the stars.

I’m assuming that the upside of a sauna in winter doesnt need to be explained!

Our regular butcher is just down the road in Ewyas Harald - Mailes. They will be happy to provide you with a Turkey or a broad range of alternatives

If you fancy trying something a bit different, we had a great suckling pig a few years ago from Huntsham.

For vegetables, we love to go down to Locks Garage to see the massive variety they have available. Highly recommend the plantain if that is something that appeals!
